A little about Rogers Stinson….
I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina and attended Furman University on a classical music scholarship. I began my military service in Army R.O.T.C and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. From there, I went on to serve over twenty years as an Army Aviation Officer and CH-47 “Chinook” helicopter pilot.
What’s My Photography Story?
It’s actually pretty simple. One day while working in the Pentagon, a U.S. Navy F-18 Fighter Pilot buddy, call-sign “Hurricane”, heard me mention my desire to take pictures worthy of putting on our walls at home. The problem was, I took horrible pictures. Hurricane introduced me to a class at Capital Photography Center in Washington, D.C. One basic photography class led to another, which led to another, and before I knew it, I was hooked. Since retiring from active duty, I’ve had the privilege of going on numerous National Geographic expeditions and learn from some of the world’s best photographers. For me, it isn’t about the money. Photography is about capturing a vision, be it mine or my client’s. More importantly, it’s telling a story through the photographs I create.
Call or email me and let’s capture your vision.
